Mission Statement
To provide an affordable, inclusive, and balanced food service that nurtures nutritional knowledge, environmental awareness, and healthy eating habits among our students.
Goals & Objectives:
- Promote Healthy Choices: Offer a range of options for students to obtain optimal nutrition to help them learn, grow, and develop into healthy adults.
- Support Busy Parents: Provide healthy meal options at affordable prices to assist busy parents.
- Create Learning Opportunities: Utilise the tuckshop as a dynamic resource to educate students about nutrition, environmental stewardship, and sustainable practices.
- Foster a Positive Environment: Create a space that is positive, productive, and inclusive for everyone involved.
Menu
We recently introduced our new “TSS Cafe" menu, designed with our student's health and sustainability in mind. Our revamped menu emphasises healthier options, featuring a variety of meals and snacks made from scratch, and a commitment to reducing packaging waste.
A copy of the tuckshop menu can be accessed by clicking here or going to our Documents page.
Specials & Birthdays
Throughout the year the P&C will regularly host specials such as themed meal deals or home-bake. Past themes have included State of Origin, Under 8s Day, the Olympics, and Star Wars.
Many parents choose to celebrate their child's birthday at school with a special party package from the TSS Cafe, you can choose an ice block or churro party to be delivered to your child's class. The tuckshop staff will coordinate with your child's teacher to confirm drop-off arrangements and address any allergies.
Allergies & Dietary Requirements
The tuckshop staff and volunteers do our best to accommodate special diets while catering to the school community. A variety of common options are available on the menu including vegetarian, vegan, gluten free and dairy free options.
While the tuckshop strives to accommodate food allergies, we are not an allergen-free environment. Parents with concerns about their child's food allergies are encouraged to contact us directly to discuss their needs.
Operating Hours
The tuckshop operates Monday through Friday, serving both the first and second breaks. Additionally, we offer breakfast for students participating in the running club on Tuesday and Friday mornings and catering services for school staff as requested.
Parents should note the first break is longer than the second break with offerings reduced in line with the eating time available to students.
Ordering
Orders can be placed via the School24 App before 8 a.m., or directly over the counter before 9 a.m. Students may purchase a variety of healthy snacks and hot foods during both breaks using cash or card.
Please note:
- Sushi orders for Wednesdays must be placed by 8 a.m. the day before.
